Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley’s Daughter Alexa Ray Joel Is Engaged — See Her Huge Ring!

Congratulations are in order for Alexa Ray Joel — she's engaged! Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley's daughter announced the happy news on her Instagram page on Monday, Jan. 1. "He said to me: 'Before I met you, my world was in black and white. You colored it in between the lines.' It was the most beautiful thing anybody’s ever said to me. How could I possibly say no to that?!?!" the 32-year-old captioned a photo of herself kissing her handsome new fiancé, Ryan Gleason.

She later returned to the photo-sharing site to post two more images of her stunning (and huge!) engagement ring from Ryan. "So I was completely taken off-guard, dumbstruck, and shell-shocked — and FOR ONCE in my life, I had absolutely no words, and I couldn’t speak… I just kept staring at this ridiculously exquisite ring — and he was just hysterically laughing at me!!!" she captioned one pic. Alexa Ray then shared a close-up photo of her custom rock — and the bauble is beyond gorgeous!

The singer-songwriter's very famous mom, Christie, 63, also couldn't help but gush about the exciting news online. "Under the largest moon on the year, my little Moonbeam got engaged, and I am over the moon with joy for these two… Ryan is the sweetest, kindest, [most] hard-working man who sincerely loves and adores my precious Alexa Ray so I love him too and while we have always thought of him as family, soon he really will be! What [a] beautiful way for our family to start the New Year… Celebrating their L❤️VE!!!" the model captioned a pic of the newly-engaged couple. Christie returned to Instagram later to share another pic of Ryan down on one knee. "Let’s start planning a wedding! (Just saying those words just made me cry!)," she wrote alongside the sweet snapshot.

Alexa Ray is the only child of Christie and her second husband, Billy, 68, who were previously married from 1985 to 1994. Their daughter was born in December 1985. Alexa Ray's engagement isn't the only happy news her family has recently announced. In late October, the "Uptown Girl" singer revealed he and his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, 35, had welcomed their second baby, a daughter named Remy Anne Joel. "Sunday night, Billy and Alexis Joel welcomed Remy Anne into their family. Alexis and Remy are doing well, and everyone is thrilled," a rep for the family said in a statement at the time.

Billy and Alexis — who tied the knot in July 2015 — are already parents to an older daughter, Della Rose Joel, 2, who was born in August 2015. Alexa Ray's mom, Christie, is also a parent to son Jack Paris Brinkley Cook, 22 (with ex Richard Taubman) and daughter Sailor Lee Brinkley-Cook, 19 (with ex Peter Cook).
