REPORTBilly Bush’s Big TV Comeback Isn’t Going as Well as Planned
Things unfortunately aren't looking up for Billy Bush.
According to a new report, the 45-year-old former Today star is trying to make a big TV comeback — but it isn't going exactly as planned. "He thought he was going to be welcomed back by the world after [his recent Good Morning America interview with Robin Roberts]," a source recently revealed to Page Six.
"And the only thing you learned from the article and TV piece is that Billy wants to be on TV," the insider continued. "He felt that taking seven or eight months off, he’d slip his way back in, get some press and people would be beating down his door, and no one did."
Billy was fired from his Today gig back in October 2016 following the surprise public release of an Access Hollywood tape of now-President Donald Trump and the journalist making lewd comments during a 2005 interview.

"He’s a terrific broadcaster, but if you’re hiring him, it’s a liability right now. There’s a big, broad reason not to hire him, and there aren’t a lot of options," another insider told Page Six.
"He’ll land on his feet. It won’t be tomorrow, or maybe not even this year, but he will," the source said. "There simply aren’t openings — and he’s not going to get Scott Pelley’s [job]."

However, another source close to Billy told Page Six that the father-of-three star has "already fielded numerous interest and offers" and is "taking his time and making sure the next move is the right one" before returning to TV.
