Gabrielle Carteris, who played Andrea Zuckerman on the classic ’90s teen drama, took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 1, to share a photo of herself with her Beverly Hills pals. “Working hard!” the 58-year-old captioned the photo. “Can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to!” The picture also includes Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty, Jason Priestly, Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green.
Fans were excited to see the cast again, but pointed out how tough it is to not have the Riverdale alum around. “This will be fun to watch but sad to see no Luke there,” one person said. “Makes me happy and sad all at once. If only Luke were still here, it would be perfect,” another added.
Luke passed away on March 4 after suffering a brutal and massive stroke. Many of his former costars reacted to his death. “My dear friend of 29 years was one of those truly special people who really cared,” Jason, 49, said on Instagram on March 7. “Luke was not only a star, he was an incredibly bright light that was extinguished far too soon … and that is why I, and so many others, are in so much pain today.”
“Luke was a special guy. I’m still mourning over it so there’s a part of me that’s kind of shocked that I’m speaking about Luke this way,” Brian, 45, said in the March 14 episode of his podcast, which was dedicated to the late actor. “We all knew that at some point we’d have to deal with losing cast members and friends — but not this soon. Not at 52. Not in such an abrupt way.”
The reboot of the popular Fox show is expected to run for six episodes this summer. The Stori Telling author, 45, explained what this reboot will be all about.
“It is the OG crew back together, and we’re playing heightened versions of ourselves,” Tori told Access Live back in February. “The fans will be pleasantly surprised, though, because we will intercut that with scenes from the show. So it’ll be a whole ensemble cast.”
We can’t wait to see how this turns out!
