If only we had scored an invite! One day after her twin Barbara Pierce Bush married actor Craig Coyne in a secret wedding ceremony in Maine on Sunday, Oct. 7, Jenna Bush Hager gushed to her Today co-hosts about her sister’s stunning nuptials.

“I’m crying 24 hours later… there were so many happy tears,” Jenna, 36, said of Barbara’s wedding via an on-air phone call on Monday, Oct. 8.

During the call, Jenna additionally revealed that Barbara, also 36, and Craig wanted to exchange vows in a ceremony attended only by family and chose Maine because Bush family patriarch, President George H.W. Bush, 94, resides there. “Just family in a place that means family love and it was beautiful,” the proud sister told her NBC colleagues.

Jenna — who served as Barbara’s Maid of Honor — also confessed that at the end of her reception speech, she recited a letter once written by her grandfather George to her late grandmother Barbara Bush. Former First Lady Barbara sadly passed away at age 92 in April, just a few months before her granddaughter and namesake Barbara’s wedding.

Early on Monday morning, Jenna confirmed that Barbara and Craig had tied the knot by posting a photo of the bride with her two daughters, Mila Hager, 5, and Poppy Hager, 3, via Instagram. “My heart exploded last night as I watched my dearest sissy get married in Maine. It was just like her: private (only family!) and full of love (and yes lots of tears!),” Jenna captioned the sweet pic. Congrats to Barbara and Craig on their wedding!
