Former US president Barack Obama may not be in the Oval Office anymore but he still keeps in contact with his colleagues — especially his Vice President and BFF Joe Biden! Earlier this week, Barack, 56, stepped out for lunch with Joe, 75, and the two looked like they’re still the best of friends during the cute outing.

For their lunch date, the duo met at the Dog Tag Bakery in Washington, DC and, lucky for us, the restaurant caught their visit on camera. “Hold on a sec, what did you get here?” Barack asked Joe in the video, to which he replied, “I’ve got one of these, what are they called, ham and cheese.” Then, without giving it a second thought, the former POTUS decided to order the same thing! “Give the boss one of those too,” Joe told the cashier. Watch the clip below!

“Look who stopped by @DogTagBakery earlier today!” the eatery captioned the video posted to their official Instagram account. “@BarackObama and @VP44 surprised us at lunch and took some time to chat with our Fellows. Thank you for supporting our mission to empower service-disabled veterans, military spouses, and caregivers. @ObamaFoundation @BidenFoundation.”

Joe and Barack have been good pals since Barack was voted into office in 2008. In fact, during a previous interview with People, Obama’s chief of staff Anita Decker Breckenridge revealed the two still have a super strong friendship today

“The bromance continues. It’s not ended,” she said. “What does he miss about the White House? I mean, they had lunch every single week for eight years.” Looks like old habits die hard!
