Believe it or not, there are jokes in politics! Former US President Barack Obama wished his former Vice President Joe Biden a happy 75th birthday on Monday, Nov. 20 — and did so with an absolutely adorable attempt at a meme (what a cool dad)!

“ME: Joe, about halfway through the speech, I’m gonna wish you a happy birth–
BIDEN: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!
ME: Joe.
Happy birthday to @JoeBiden, my brother and the best vice president anybody could have,” Barack wrote alongside a photo of himself giving his 2014 State of the Union address with Joe in the background pointing and laughing. The shout-out racked up an impressive 1.5 million favorites and 400,000 retweets. You go, Barack!

Fans immediately took to the social media platform to express their love for Barack’s attempt at joining the Internet craze of funny Joe Biden memes (we see one on our feeds at least once a day). One user wrote, “HE FINALLY MADE HIS OWN MEME!! I miss the Obama/Joe friendship memes so much it almost hurts.” Another added, “Miss you guys on so many levels.
Happy birthday Joe.”

It was revealed in May that Barack and Joe still have a strong relationship today even though they’re no longer in office together. “The bromance continues. It’s not ended,” Obama’s chief of staff, Anita Decker Breckenridge, told People before adding that the two still talk and see each other often. “That’s one of the things I would say, you know… What does he miss about the White House? I mean, they had lunch every single week for eight years.” A source told the news outlet that the two even played “a few rounds of golf recently.” Who do you think is the better golfer?

And if you can recall, Joe gave Barack a sweet birthday shout-out for his 55th in August of 2016. “Happy 55th, Barack! A brother to me, a best friend forever.” We’d love to see their friendship last forever, that’s for sure!
