We can finally put all those rumors to rest about where Meghan Markle gave birth to baby Archie. According to the little guy’s certificate, which was obtained by Closer Weekly, the tiny royal was delivered at the private Portland Hospital in Westminster. Interesting, right?!
On Friday, May 17, a representative from the Westminster Registrar’s Office paid the royal couple a visit so they didn’t have to travel all the way to their office. Shortly after they left their home of Frogmore Cottage, royal fans discovered where baby Archie was born on Monday, May 6.
It seems a lot of royal fans were wrong when they predicted where Meghan, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, would welcome Archie. A source had told Us Weekly that she would “likely” go to a local wellness center instead of St. Mary’s Hospital where Kate Middleton gave birth to her three kids — Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 — with Prince William.
Even though Meghan didn’t go follow royal tradition by planning her baby’s arrival to be at the Lindo Wing in St. Mary’s Hospital, she still delivered her son safe and sound — and that’s really all that matters. “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing,” the former Suits star gushed about having a baby shortly after Archie was born. “He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.”
Harry was also excited to meet his son for the first time and told a few reporters that “parenting is amazing.” He said, “We’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.” How cute!
Now that baby Archie is at home with his parents, they’ll get to spend every waking moment with him. “Everyone says that babies changed so much over two weeks,” Harry noted. “We’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over the next month, really. His looks are changing every single day.”
We can’t wait to see if baby Archie looks more like his mom or his dad!
