Did you wake up this morning and wondered what Anthony Hopkins has been up to? Well if you did for some reason, aside from starring in the HBO show Westworld, the actor has been busy spending millions of dollars on a new residence. No wonder why he looks so happy in the photo above.

The 80-year-old actor seemed to have gotten bored with his other properties, because he decided to hand over $6.6 million on Dec. 11, for a top-notch, and very new home in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in California. That’s right, $6.6 million. It certainly seems like Anthony’s movies have done well for him. I mean, if anyone was going to play an eccentric cannibal, they’d except to be paid well too. As far as Anthony’s new home, it comes in at a solid 5,778-square-feet, and it has five bedrooms and eight baths. What else did Anthony pay for? Well, his mansion comes with a game room, a gym, a massive home theatre, and even a wine cellar that can hold 800 bottles. You know, for those stressful nights.

Although, Anthony hasn’t touched a drink since 1975, so he’ll have to hit his gym to destress. Or he can hang out in his new garage which has room for four cars. Obviously. And since the Welsh actor is up there in age, the home of course has an elevator that takes you to all three levels of the home, including a fourth level: the 655-square-foot rooftop deck.

This isn’t the only property that good old Sir Anthony owns, in fact, the Hannibal actor also owns a home in Sunset Boulevard he purchased for $1.1 million, as well as two other homes, with one located in Malibu. The home Anthony owns in Malibu “only” cost $3.8 million, but it was worth it in the end as it seemed to be one of the few homes left untouched by the devastating Woolsey fires.
