Don’t put the cart before the horse, people!

Though Angelina Jolie hinted earlier this month she is stepping away from acting, the 38-year-old wants to make it clear you haven’t seen the last of her on the big screen.

“I’m not retiring completely, but I’m going to focus more on my writing, directing and my humanitarian work,” shared the former Goodwill Ambassador at the Japanese premiere of Maleficent.

“So I will do less films and hopefully that will also make it possible to be very selective and do a few I feel really compelled to do. But I will be doing much less,” she continued.

The actress’ decision to dial back her projects comes on the heels of Maleficent, the highest-grossing movie of her career. Earlier this month, she suggested a movie about Cleopatra could be her last starring role.

“That’s where you finish, in a great way. You kind of go, ‘What could you do beyond that one?’ Put it all into that one,” Angelina said of the film, which has been in development for years.

While the mother-of-six switches gears in her professional life, she’s also had to adjust to changes in her personal one.

At the LA premiere of her Disney film, Angelina revealed her eldest son Maddox has a girlfriend!

“He’s dating,” the proud mom admitted, calling the young lady “great.” Though she vowed, “I won’t embarrass him,” she did let slip where the girl is from. “She’s lovely. She lives in England. She’s very cool,” the Oscar winner continued.
