If you thought Angelina Jolie's relationship with Brad Pitt was complicated, think again! The A-list actress and her dad Jon Voight's relationship is by far one of the most confusing and complicated in Hollywood, but things are finally easier to understand.
The father-daughter pair has had their fair share of ups and downs since the 1970s, but in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina opened up about how the two are making it work today. "Jon and I have gotten to know each other — through grandchildren now — [and] we're finding a new relationship, and it's very, very nice," she told the news outlet. "We've had some difficulties, [but] through art we've been able to talk. It's the common language."

But now, she knows what works and what doesn't work when communicating with her father today. "We don't really talk politics well," she confessed. "We talk art very well."
John has opened up about how much he loves being a grandfather to Angelina's six kids as well. "I love to play with my grandchildren," he said. "I'm not an armchair grandfather — I'm interactive. The happiest sound for me is sitting in my house and hearing children and their laughter." He added, "I love my daughter, and I'm very impressed by her directing. I'm crazy about her and my grandchildren."
Angelina's older brother, James Haven, spoke to Closer Weekly in a recent exclusive interview about he too made amends with his father. "It was really a trifecta, meaning she found peace with him, and I found peace," he shared. "This story has come full circle. A big part of it is just coming to that point where you deal with and solve and rectify things. It's nice."
