A lucky buyer has reportedly purchased Anderson Cooper‘s stunning Westhampton, NY beach home for $2.97 million.

The charming 1928 waterfront cottage includes four bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room and a home office. The house’s exterior features a private driveway, inground Gunite pool and a hot tub.

The 3,800-square-foot property — which was originally built as a sports club for a nearby estate — was allegedly first put on the market with an asking price of $3,599,000 in July of last year.

“The cottage is open-spaced, but it keeps in line with a traditional [design],” Enzo Morabito, the listing agent who represented the star in the recent sale, said. “It’s traditional yet stylish. It’s an understated style that puts Ralph Lauren to shame.”

According to Morabito, the ‘Anderson Cooper 360°’ host also owns the property next door, but is working to sell that home as well. Anderson reportedly purchased the newly sold home in 2003 for $1.15 million.
