Anderson Cooper Recovering From an Emergency Surgery to Remove his Appendix
Get well soon, Anderson Cooper!
The journalist, 47, underwent emergency surgery on Sunday, Nov. 30 to remove his appendix — but don’t worry, he’ll be back to work in no time, he says.

“I am very thankful for the efforts of my doctor and the doctors and nurses at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center,” Anderson told ‘Page Six.’
Anderson took to Twitter to explain his unexpected absence from his show, CNN’s ‘Anderson Cooper 360,’ on Monday night. “I’ll be back on air tomorrow. Had an appendicitis and had to have sudden surgery last night,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

CNN anchor John Berman filled in for the journalist while he has been recovering. Anderson is expected to return to his CNN anchor duties on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
