That was quick! Alex Rodriguez became a contributor on ABC’s Good Morning America a little over a year ago, but now, the former MLB star’s spokesperson has revealed to The Post that he’ll no longer be on the series.

Alex, 43, was set to previously set to report on sports, personal fitness, and finance on GMA, however, he didn’t leave much impact on the morning show. Insiders have suggested to the news outlet that it was due to his busy schedule. He is also on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball and will play a big part on Fox’s post-season studio coverage.

Sources also told The Post that with former NFL star Michael Strahan as the main face of the show, there wasn’t much room for A-Rod in the mix, and if there would be any sports reporting, Michael could handle it. Awkwardly enough, though, Michael is also an executive producer on A-Rod’s CNBC show, Back in the Game, so we’re sure they’ll still be working together in the future.

However, they may be a rift between the two. It was previously reported that Michael was never happy with Alex coming aboard GMA in the first place. Back when he first got hired, Life & Style revealed Michael “loves being the resident jock” on the morning show and feels threatened by A-Rod. “Michael can’t believe Alex is joining GMA. He fears that Alex is being groomed to take over his job or someone else’s on the show, and he’s upset about that,” an insider told the magazine at the time.

“[Michael] didn’t even learn about Alex being hired until shortly before it was publicly announced,” the insider added. “Michael thought that after all of the drama he went through with Kelly Ripa when he left Live, there would be no more surprises. But then this happens!”

Well luckily for Michael, A-Rod is out — and luckily for us, we’ll get to see more adorable photos of him with his girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez!
