Pregnant Hilaria Baldwin Admits She and Hubby Alec Baldwin Are Already Talking Baby No. 5!
It’s only been a few days since Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin announced they’re expecting their fourth child together, but the couple is already talking about the possibility of getting pregnant with baby No. 5! After learning their newest addition is another baby boy — their third! — Hilaria admitted their eldest kid, four-year-old daughter Carmen, is “committed to a fifth child” because she so badly wants a little sister.
“She was a little bit disappointed [that I’m expecting another boy]. [She said], ‘How about you have a girl first, then you can have another boy?’ I was like, ‘It doesn’t work that way! I don’t get to choose,'” the 33-year-old told People in a new interview. “[Carmen’s] like, ‘No, you don’t understand, Mommy. It’s going to be a girl.’ I was like, ‘No, I promise. I promise you it’s a boy.'” The couple is also parents to sons Rafael, 3, and Leonardo, 1. The Saturday Night Live star additionally has a 22-year-old daughter, Ireland Baldwin, from his first marriage to Kim Basinger.
According to Hilaria, her 59-year-old hubby, Alec, isn’t totally opposed to having more kids in the future. “People are like, ‘Oh, they must be Catholic,’ or, ‘Oh, she must just want all of his money.’ I’m like, ‘If I wanted all of his money, why am I having so many children? Children are expensive!’ Seeing how much my daughter would like to have a sister, do we try for that? I have no idea,” she revealed. “I’ve had so many [kids] because I really like them and we have such fun times. I’m going to have four kids in a little over four years and it’s just one of those things where I’m going to let life lead me in that direction.”
“I never knew how many kids I wanted to have. I didn’t know how much I’d like [motherhood]. And I really, really like it,” the proud mom added. For now, Alec and Hilaria — who tied the knot in 2012 — are focusing on getting ready for baby No. 4. “We’re really excited… [Before getting pregnant], we were like, ‘Oh, should we have another kid?’ We were like, ‘You know what? Let’s try something different — let’s try,'” Hilaria confessed. “[With] the other ones, it’s not like we were like, ‘Oh my God, how did this happen?’ But this is the only one we [planned].”
One thing is for sure, Carmen is thrilled to be a big sister for the third time. “She was like, ‘I can’t wait to tell everybody at school!’ We’re walking out the door and she’s like, ‘There’s a baby in my mommy’s tummy!’ I’m like, ‘Stop it! Not yet! We’re not telling yet!'” Hilaria joked. “That’s the reason I didn’t tell her before, because everybody would have known!” We can’t wait to meet the newest Baldwin baby next spring!
