Al Pacino Still ‘Certainly Depends’ on Baby Mama Noor Alfallah: ‘He Gets Lonely These Days’

Noor Alfallah may have no interest in Al Pacino romantically these days, but she still wants what’s best for him and a source exclusively tells Closer she’s the center of his entire world, both personally and professionally.

“Al clearly depends on Noor and needs the companionship,” the insider says. “It’s not like he has a lot of other prospects going for him.” 

Aging octogenarian Al, 84, recently stepped out with Noor, 31, for a movie night, despite previously making it clear they weren’t dating anymore. The two attended an exclusive American Cinematheque members-only screening of Pacino’s 1973 film Serpico in Santa Monica, California, on December 14, 2024, prompting fans to speculate about what exactly is going on in the iconic actor’s personal life.

The two share one child, Roman, 1, who was born when Al was a ripe 83, meaning The Godfather star will be a centenarian by the time his son reaches adulthood. They were first linked romantically in 2022, after reports that they secretly began dating during COVID lockdown, but called it quits after Noor was spotted with another aging star – Bill Maher – leaving the Chateau Marmont together in Los Angeles on October 6 2024.

According to the source, what’s sad is that Al, despite the heartbreak, still “calls her up all the time and they go out, sometimes he calls just to talk because he gets lonely these days.” 

It may seem nice they’ve been able to remain friends, many speculate Al’s fear of dying alone is driving him back to Noor, at the very least for her companionship.

“She helps him with his scripts and lines, which he appreciates and repays by taking her out to a nice dinner,” the source continues. “It’s not physical anymore and hasn’t been for some time, but they will always be linked because of their kid.” 

“Plus, Noor kind of feels sorry for Al. She’d never abandon him.”

While things may be slowing down in the bedroom for the Scarface star, there’s no sign of any fatigue regarding Al’s work ethic. While many had considered long-time collaborator Martin Scorsese‘s The Irishman a long-awaited goodbye for most of the cast, Al has an impressive eight projects in the pipeline currently, and has been in five movies and shows since hitting 80. 

When asked about retirement, Al told The Talks, “I’m all for that! You know, resting on your laurels, you get a nice big check, take another profession on … But for some thick reason, I keep wanting to go back and do this stuff.”

“I’m not going to say the word ‘retirement’ because it’s kind of a strange word for an artist to say, ‘retirement,’” he added.

However, as readers of the actor’s memoir, Sonny Boy, may already know, retirement really wasn’t in the cards for Al, at least not until recently. In the book, he describes how his accountant went to prison for eight years for being part of a Ponzi scheme that swindled away his $50 million life savings at 70 years old, forcing him to rebuild his entire fortune in his golden years.
