TV personality Abby Huntsman will officially be joining The View for Season 22! The former Fox & Friends Weekend co-host will sit beside Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Meghan McCain when she’s added to the cast next month.

“I couldn’t be more be excited to return to my professional roots at ABC News,” Abby said in an official press release. “I look forward to adding my own point of view to the most interesting and successful talk show on television today. Joining the women at The View really is a dream come true!”

In another statement obtained by Variety, Senior Executive Producer Hilary Estey McLoughlin noted that Abby will be an excellent addition to the all-female show.

“She brings her unique life and professional experiences and has a smart, relatable, and distinctive point of view on everything from pop culture to politics to parenthood,” McLoughlin shared. “We can’t wait to return to the Hot Topics table with Abby joining our panel of incredibly talented women whose diverse voices have always played a significant role in the national conversation.”

Abby will be replacing Paula Faris and Sara Haines, who both announced their departures from the daytime talk show in July 2018. On Thursday, Aug. 2, Sara cried while filming her final episode on The View.

“It has been an honor, a privilege, and an absolute dream to work here at this show,” Sara shared, adding that she loved working with her co-hosts. “For anyone who has ever played a sport knows that the best team members are the ones who lift you up and make you better. You guys did that for me.”

Although Sara was clearly sad to leave The View, she is looking forward to her new show with Michael Strahan called GMA DAY. Paula will also be leaving her job at Good Morning America to take on a more breaking news position at ABC News in the fall.
