To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the "Sex and the City" finale, which aired on Feb. 22, 2004, we take a look back at the 7 best moments from "An American Girl in Paris (Part Deux)!"
Relive all the emotions you felt when you were forced to say goodbye to Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda (well, until the first movie came out four years later)!
1. When the girls finally gave Big their blessing.
Throughout the series, Big messed around with Carrie and broke her heart more times than we care to remember. So obviously her girls - her rocks - never approved of the notorious B-I-G. In the final episode, Big pleads his case to Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, when the sharp talking lawyer - who particularly hated him - finally says, "Go get our girl."
2. When Harry and Charlotte find out they're getting a baby.
Charlotte's struggle to have a baby started when she was married to Trey, and her fertility issues ended up driving them apart. When she married Harry, they decided to adopt a child from China. After a number of let downs, they finally got their girl.
3. When hard-hearted Miranda rescues Steve's mom.
Miranda finds Steve's mom walking in the street, eating pizza from the garbage and not knowing who or where she is. She takes her home, bathes her and nurtures her after which Magda tells her, "What you did, that is love. You loved."
4. Samantha softens and admits to Smith she loves him more than any other man.
Serial man-eater Samantha finally accepts that Smith is in her life and there to stay after he stuck by her throughout her cancer battle. He is on location shooting a movie, but travels through the night just to tell her he loves her. She cries (which she never does) and tells him, "You've meant more to me than any man I've ever known."
5. When Big tells Carrie she's the one.
After six seasons and almost 100 episodes, it's plainly obvious that Carrie and Big are meant to be together. But for some reason, he never accepted it. So he gets married, moves away, rejects her, breaks her heart and then rejects her some more. FINALLY he comes to his senses and after finding her in Paris tells her, "Carrie, you're the one."
6. When Carrie arrives back in NYC and surprises the girls.
Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte obviously didn't want Carrie to move to Paris since the four have been inseparable for years. Carrie even told Miranda, "I cant stay in New York and be single for you." They send Big off to Paris to get her, not knowing the outcome. Fast forward a couple of days later when the trio are in their usual brunch spot gossiping and Carrie walks through the door. Cue screams.
7. When we find out Big's real name.
From the moment his character is introduced in the series, Big's real name is never uttered. The first time we meet him, Samantha talks about what a big shot businessman he is and coins the term, "Mr Big." Only in the very last minute of the finale do we find out. He calls Carrie on her cell phone to tell her he's coming back to New York and his name is revealed to be - John.
