Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas Stripped Down for ‘Playgirl’ Cover Decades Before They Began Dating

Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas have quite the history.

Long before news recently broke that the Melrose Place alum, 64, and the Renegade actor, 68, are dating, the two posed for a cover of Playgirl magazine, on which they showed some skin in their swimsuits.

Lamas posted a photo of the Playgirl cover to his X account in December, captioning the post, “I cannot believe that this was 43 years ago! Side note, speedos on request only #HeatherLocklear #Playgirl #80s.”

The headline on the magazine cover read, “Lorenzo Lamas & Heather Locklear In Very Bare Swimwear.” Inside, according to the Daily Mail, the pair cuddled up in more photos together.

In the early 1980s, when that issue of Playgirl was released, Locklear was playing Sammy Jo Carrington on Dynasty, and Lamas was featured as Lance Cumson on the soap opera Falcon Crest.

As Closer previously reported, the ‘90s stars have been secretly dating for months. On April 10, TMZ published photos of the couple celebrating New Year’s Eve at Barry’s Steakhouse in Las Vegas.

“He’s an incredibly charming guy,” a source exclusively told Closer earlier this week, “and has totally swept Heather off her feet.”

“They’re spending most days together,” the source added. “He sleeps over at her place a lot and they’ve enjoyed several romantic trips away. Plus, she wants them to go on an extended trip away in the summer.”

Lamas has been married six times and only recently split from ex-wife Kenna Nicole Scott in July.

As for Locklear, she’s been married twice before — to rockers Tommy Lee and Richie Sambora, and she most recently called off her engagement to high school sweetheart Chris Heisser in May.

Still, their new romance seems to be going strong. According to TMZ, Locklear recently met Lamas’ family over the weekend at her home in a gated community in Thousand Oaks, California.

The group “had a blast,” sources told the outlet.
