General Hospital fans got quite a surprise this week when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) shared some unusual scenes, even though the two characters had never laid eyes on one another before.
Jason opened the front door to the Quartermaine mansion and Serena immediately stomped on his foot as payback for running her father, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner), out of town two years ago. In subsequent scenes, Jason was forced to rescue Serena when she fell from an upstairs window and found herself hanging upside down. She then convinced Jason to move a falcon’s nest to the nearby nature preserve and had him check her for ticks.
When rom-com scenes like these happen on a soap, expert fans always know it is a chemistry test. So, did Serena and Jason pass with flying colors or does GH have to go back to the drawing board to find matches for these two single characters? Fans were quick to take to social media and weigh in.

Some fans were excited for this potential pair, with one writing on X, “They feel fun and fresh and I think Jason needs Serena right now.”
Another fan concurred, tweeting, “The Jason/Serena cracked me up, I love a bit of hijinks in my soaps.”
“These two are talking about the falcons and the nests that reside on Tracy’s property. Who else saw the sparks flying everywhere?!” another audience member asked.
Another fan liked Jason and Serena together through their first series of scenes, but quickly changed their mind, saying, “Okay the chemistry I thought I saw between Jason and Serena has quickly worn off. Nothing cute about it. They are cringe.”
Finally, another fan noted that GH seems to be throwing couples at the wall to see what will stick, and Jason and Serena are another example. “They’re pin balling all these couples now, I mean Jason/Serena?” this fan asked. “The inheritance babies? They have to just be pulling names out of a hat. I’m amazed they’ve never met. Her Dad kidnapped him as a baby and tried stealing his fortune…Awkward.”
