ZZ Top Drummer Frank Beard’s Net Worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Beard was worth approximately $50 million.
Before joining ZZ Top in 1969, he played with several other bands, including American Blues and The Cellar Dwellers. Beard was not ZZ Top’s first drummer. However, he joined Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill early in the band’s formation and continued as a drummer for ZZ Top throughout the decades since.
ZZ Top released its debut album in 1971 and went on to release more than a dozen more albums in subsequent years. The band had its top hits, such as “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” “Sharp Dressed Man,” and “Legs,” in the mid ’80s.
In 1986, ZZ Top set records with its Afterburner Tour, becoming both the highest-grossing and highest-attended tour of the era.
For decades, Beard lived in Richmond, Texas, on a property he named the Top 40 Ranch. The house sits on a 1-acre lot and has approximately 9,500 square feet of living space.
Built in 1992, the two-story home has eight bedrooms and five bathrooms. The property has a large attached garage, additional space for parking outdoors, and a pool.

Beard leaves behind his wife, Debbie Meredith, whom he married in 1982, as well as their three children. He was previously married to Catherine Alexander from 1978 to 1981.
According to TMZ, Beard died after a stay in hospice care, surrounded by family. The band canceled its August 5 performance at the Hollywood Bowl, seemingly due to Beard’s health issues. ZZ Top indicates they plan to continue their current tour after canceling the next couple of shows.
