RIPZsa Zsa Gabor’s Adopted Son Oliver Prinz Von Anhalt Has Died Days After Her Death

Just days after Zsa Zsa Gabor‘s passing, the Hollywood icon’s family is again mourning another loss.

The actress’ adopted son Oliver Prinz Von Anhalt sadly died on Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25, the LA’s coroner’s office confirmed to People on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

According to TMZ, Oliver, 45, was taken to a local hospital on Sunday, Dec. 18 — the day his mother, Zsa Zsa, passed away at age 99 from a heart attack — following a motorcycle accident on Mulholland Drive in LA.

The well-known LA socialite reportedly hit a car while driving his motorcycle. Following the crash, he was in a coma at the hospital and never recovered.

Oliver’s father and Zsa Zsa’s ninth husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, told TMZ he did not know his son had been in a fatal collision until the coroner’s office notified him earlier this week. Frederic, 73, allegedly thought Oliver was in Germany at the time of his accident.

Oliver was one of at least 10 adult men whom Zsa Zsa and Frederic adopted for a fee of up to $2 million to become royal descendants of the late Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt. Frederic himself paid Princess Marie-Auguste — who died at age 84 in May 1983 — to adopt him when he was 36-years-old.

“If someone offers you $2 million, you do it,” Frederic reportedly once said of selling his royal family title to his adopted sons.

Zsa Zsa and Frederic were married from August 1986 until the star’s death earlier this month. The actress was previously hitched to Turkish politician Burhan Asaf Belge, American hotelier Conrad Hilton, actor George Sanders, attorney Herbert Hutner, Joshua S. Cosden, Jr., designer Jack Ryan, Michael O’Hara and actor Felipe de Alba.

She had one biological child, daughter Constance Francesca Hilton, with her second husband, Conrad. Francesca passed away at age 67 in January 2015 after having a stroke. Zsa Zsa’s husband, Frederic, chose not to tell the socialite about her daughter’s death out of concern for her physical and emotional state.

Prior to her passing, Zsa Zsa was plagued by poor health for many years. She suffered from a lung infection, the amputation of her right leg and chronic dementia. She died from a heart attack after spending the last five years on life support.
