The British royal family tree is growing even larger! Zara Tindall, one of Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughters, is pregnant with her second child. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson told BBC News that the Queen and the rest of the royal family were “very pleased” to hear the news of this pregnancy, and this bundle of joy will be Elizabeth’s seventh great-grandchild. Zara and husband Mark Tindall, a former rugby player, already have a three-year-old daughter named Mia Grace and previously lost an unborn baby in 2016.

We’d congratulate the happy couple on the incoming prince or princess, but Zara actually isn’t a princess herself. She was born Zara Anne Elizabeth Phillips to Princess Anne and her then-husband, Mark Phillips, on March 15, 1981, joining older brother Peter. Per British tradition, royal titles are only given to the children of a monarch’s sons, not their daughters. Elizabeth extended courtesy titles to Anne’s kids, but the Princess Royal declined, presumably so her children would have more normal lives without the royal obligations. “I’m very lucky that both my parents decided to not use the title and we grew up and did all the things that gave us the opportunity to do,” Zara, now 36, told The Times in 2015.

Indeed, Zara didn’t need a royal title to lead a distinguished life. She’s an accomplished equestrian, for example, winning the Eventing World Championship in 2006 and earning the BBC Sports Personality of the Year honor that same year. She even won silver at the 2012 London Olympic Games, and Anne herself presented her with the medal. “I probably get it from my parents,” she said of her work ethic, per People. “Papa said to me, ‘If you want to get to the top you’ve got to do it properly, and if you want to stay at the top it’s even harder.’”
