Well that could have ended a lot worse!
Hugh Jackman recently revealed how he almost seriously injured himself on the set of the upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past, when the metal claws he was wearing to play the superhero came a little too close to his privates!
The actor, who shot a couple of nude scenes for the action flick, explained, "There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set. I ran around the corner and all the female members of the crew were gathered there."
Hugh recalled how he immediately attempted to cover up, claws attached, but ended up cutting his thigh in the process!
"It was just the inner thigh, thankfully. The metal claws had to go — you can't have bits and pieces flying off," he laughed.
The 45-year-old shared the crazy story on The Graham Norton Show, where the Australian's X-Men co-star, Michael Fassbender, praised his hard-core fitness regimen.
"His discipline is incredible," remarked Michael, who plays Magneto in the film. "He is up and in the gym at 4:30 in the morning, every morning."
The 12 Years a Slave star also explained what he called the "Jackman Effect," telling Graham, "We all started training to try to keep up [with Hugh]."
Days of Future Past is set to premiere on July 14, and may very well be Hugh's last hurrah as the clawed mutant.
The Oscar nominee recently told SFX magazine, "I’m genuinely at that point where unless it’s better than the last one I’m not going to do it.”
