Jennifer Aniston recently opened up about her first true love, Daniel McDonald, who she dated for five years until 1994 — and even credited him for sending her fiancé Justin Theroux.

Thirteen years after their split, he sadly passed away. And now Mujah Maraini-Melehi — McDaniel’s widow — has expressed her unhappiness with Jen for talking about it with the press, referring to the A-lister as someone who used her deceased husband for her own personal gain.

“I am sorry that Jennifer did not realize the treasure that was Daniel when she had the chance, long before he and I met and long before he died,” Maraini-Melehi told ‘Inside Edition.’ “It pains me to read the headlines that allude to her losing him tragically when in fact she was not present during his long and difficult illness.”

McDonald’s widow added: “After Daniel died, I reached out to her to give her back all the photographs from the time they were together. I never got an answer back from her.”

Jennifer’s “first love” Daniel McDonald

The actress and filmmaker went on to marry McDonald after he split with the ‘Friends’ alum.

“He was my first love – five years we were together,” Jen told ‘The New York Times’ of Daniel, who reportedly died in 2007 of a brain tumor. “He would have been the one! But I was 25, and I was stupid.”

Maraini-Melehi spoke exclusively with ‘Inside Edition.’
