Though it's been months since Megyn Kelly made her big move from Fox News to NBC, many people are still wondering why exactly she decided to take a new job in the first place. For starters, the 46-year-old star has stated that her Today gig offered her more free time to spend with her husband and three kids. And, she was "done with politics," so moving to another network gave her a fresh take on her television work.

However, Megyn's new show — which premiered on Sept. 25 — hasn't gotten off to the best start. According to Life & Style, NBC execs are worried about Megyn Kelly Today's bad ratings thus far. "Megyn just doesn't come across to the viewers as authentic," an insider revealed. "[The show] could be a sinking ship that goes down quickly." Sadly, Megyn has been taking the criticism pretty hard. "[She] was absolutely mortified," the source said. "Leaving Fox was a huge gamble for her and she doesn't want to give anyone the satisfaction of seeing her fail."
Additionally, Megyn's Today co-stars have reportedly been told to help the struggling program. "[One show executive] has been hearing complaints from Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker because of their ongoing appearances on Megyn’s show. But they have no choice but to do it," an insider told Life & Style. Matt is especially frustrated with Megyn and has "had enough" with their work relationship.
“He tried to welcome Megyn with open arms. He genuinely tried to give her advice about how to succeed in morning television, but she wasn’t interested in hearing it. He’s had enough," a source confessed. Matt has even been openly criticizing Megyn's show, much to the network's chagrin. "He was told it was time to get on board with Megyn’s show or he could find another place to work. He said if someone overheard his comments, oh well."
