Wendy Williams just confessed she almost joined the cast of Fashion Police — but ultimately turned down the opportunity due to location!
“Melissa [Rivers] had asked me about Fashion Police, personally,” the 51-year-old TV star said in a new interview with the New York Post “But the problem is [my show is] out of NYC. I can’t be flying back and forth [to LA]. I don’t want phlebitis or spider veins. I have enough going on. Too much flying. I couldn’t do it.”
Wendy has been hosting her NYC-based infotainment talk show, The Wendy Williams Show, since 2008. Much like Fashion Police — which premiered on E! in 2010 with host Joan Rivers, who later died at age 81 in September 2014 — Wendy is now debuting her own red carpet fashion commentary show titled, Wendy’s Style Squad, on BET on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
“I love fashion, but I also have an opinion. It’s not Joan, but, you know, there will never be another Joan," the said of the late Fashion Police host.
