I was miserable, and felt so unhealthy. All I wanted to do was sleep and hide from the world. I saw no hope in ever losing the weight and had given up on all of my hopes and dreams in life. I was using food as a crutch to fill all of the emptiness I felt.
I began working out even harder. I got into spinning, kickboxing, weight lifting, Zumba, yoga, and interval training. I worked out at least five times per week for an hour each day. [The classes] were so much fun I didn't feel like I was [exercising]. I took baby steps with my eating habits [and] cut out junk food. I [started eating more] lean protein, veggies, and fruits. I immediately lost 25 pounds within a few weeks just from these small changes. Once I got a taste of being able to buy smaller clothing, having more energy and confidence and feeling so much healthier, I didn’t want to stop.
It feels amazing. I have so much more confidence. I’ve finally had the moxie to get into acting and [now] work pretty frequently as an actor/performer. I don’t feel sick all of the time from having toxic food in my body. I feel like I have so much more to give everyone and everything to those around me because I’m so much happier.

Start out slowly. Cut out one thing [per] week. Also, educate yourself on health and fitness. I found reading weight loss success stories online [to be] very inspirational. As far as fitness goes, don’t rush into it. Begin by walking, then gradually add in some strength training. Make your workouts fun [and] something you look forward to. Surround yourself by people who sincerely want the best for you, and will root you on. Remember you’re worth it [and] deserve only the best in life. You owe it to yourself to be healthy!
