She’s telling all and defending her decision! Tyra Banks recently confirmed that she did indeed get a nose job early on in her career, and she still stands by her choice. “Natural beauty is unfair,” the model explained in a new interview. “I get really uncomfortable when women who are these natural beauties judge anybody who does anything to themselves.”

The 44-year-old and her supportive mother Carolyn London-Johnson collaborated to write a memoir titled Perfect Is Boring, in which Tyra confessed to going under the knife. “I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching,” she explained to People. “I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.”

The model is speaking out about the danger of putting an emphasis on the “no makeup” look that’s trending nowadays. “We place a lot of emphasis on that,” she continued. “As a model, I needed makeup. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. It leveled my playing field. Gisele [Bündchen], you don’t need it? I do! And we’re both modeling for Victoria’s Secret.”

The mother-of-one — she previously welcomed son York in January 2016 with ex-boyfriend Erik Asla — has also admitted that she doesn’t want her child following in her modeling footsteps. “I wouldn’t love for him to model, but I wouldn’t tell him, ‘Don’t do it,’ because then he’d do it more,” she said earlier this month. However, she would never discourage her baby boy from following his dreams — even if they include modeling. “I’m going to support what he wants and just hope it’s not modeling! But if it is, I’ll be telling him how to smize,” she continued.
