Here’s What Your Favorite Designers From ‘Trading Spaces’ Are up to Today

Everyone's favorite home design show is coming back! TLC recently announced Trading Spaces is returning to TV as a part of the network's new lineup of home and property shows. The original show was canceled almost a decade ago, and while the cast has gone on to do other things, we're all left wondering, where are they now?

In 2000, before "home remodeling TV" became a thing, Trading Spaces was a surprise hit. The show, which took two sets of neighbors and had them design a room in each other's homes with the help of a designer, was full of charm, hilarity, and drama. From eccentric and polarizing designers like Hildi Santo-Tomas, who angered and confused viewers when she glued hay to the walls for a barn-inspired design, to "hot" carpenter Ty Pennington, who swooped American housewives right off their feet, the show was an instant reality TV classic.

"Trading Spaces changed the landscape of television," host Paige Davis said in 2013. "It really was a catalyst for a whole new genre of TV." Check out the gallery to see where all your favorite designers and carpenters have been up to these past 10 years!
