The estranged mother of Tracy Morgan was reportedly turned away from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on Saturday, June 7 after she tried to visit her critically-injured son following his tragic car accident.
Alicia Warden, who has a strained relationship with the comedian, reveals hospital security and Tracy's fiancée, Megan Wollover, refused to let her into his room when she arrived.
According to TMZ, Alicia returned the next day and was briefly granted access, telling the news site her son was unconscious during the visit and surrounded by friends and a pastor.
"All I wanted was for our family to be alone with him. I wanted to pray over him and couldn’t do that because so many people were in the room," Alicia tells TMZ. In a 2012 interview, Tracy claimed he hadn't seen his mother in 11 years.
Before the weekend crash that left the SNL alum with several broken bones and killed fellow comedian James McNair, the 45-year-old was set to begin production on a 10-episode FXX series in August.
The network released a statement, saying, "The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident.
