Tom Jones' wife of 59 years, Melinda Rose Woodward, has sadly died after a "short but fierce" battle with cancer. She was 75-years-old.
“Sir Tom Jones' wife of 59 years, Lady Melinda Rose Woodward, passed away Sunday morning, April 10, after a short but fierce battle with cancer. Surrounded by her husband and loved ones, she passed away peacefully at Cedars Sinai Hospital in LA," a statement posted to the singer's Facebook page read.

"Sir Tom and his family have asked for privacy at this difficult time and no further information is currently available," the statement continued.

Tom, 75, and Melinda first met age age 12 in their Welsh hometown and later married at age 16 in March 1957. The couple had one child, son Mark Woodward, 59, together.
