And the winner for coolest homecoming theme goes to… Kerman High School!

Earlier this month, the school's student body advisor David Bakholdin revealed the California high school will be throwing a Tom Hanks-themed homecoming week — and the announcement has since caught the actor's attention!

"Tom Hanks is an incredible actor," Bakholdin said in his video announcement. "Since this is Kerman, and we like to do things a little bit bigger and better than everybody else, we would like to officially extend an invitation to [Tom] to be the marshal of our homecoming festivities."

Just more than a week later, Tom, 59, responded to the high school's campaign via Twitter. "Gear up, Kerman High School for Homecoming! I’m working on something for the Festivites! Hanx," he wrote.

According to the Fresno Bee, Kerman has not yet been officially contacted by the Oscar winner regarding a possible appearance. The school's homecoming festivities are scheduled to commence on Oct. 9 and the week will include a parade featuring floats based on Tom's most famous movie roles.
