As if we weren’t excited enough for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s upcoming royal wedding! On Wednesday, April 11, the Today show cast made our dreams come true by announcing that they’re heading to England in May to cover Harry and Meghan’s nuptials in-person — what could be better than that?!

“We have very exciting news — put down your tea and crumpets, Hoda. We won’t just be watching it, no, we will be across the pond, we will be there! Not inside, but we’ll be there,” the morning program’s co-anchor Savannah Guthrie told viewers. During the announcement, the entire Today team was clad in their finest royal attire, complete with fascinators, crowns, and tea cups.

“Kathie Lee [Gifford], Megyn [Kelly], and Sheinelle [Jones] — they’ve all joined us here because we are all heading to England to bring you the excitement of the royal wedding,” Hoda Kotb chimed in as the gang clinked their tea cups together to celebrate. Savnnah then explained to fans, “Hoda and I are going to get it all started with a primetime special on Wednesday, May 16 — we’re calling it, Inside the Royal Wedding. We’re going to explore Harry and Meghan’s whirlwind romance.”

“The next morning, I’m going to be there, live in Windsor, to give you a sneak peek of the big day,” Hoda continued. “Then on the Friday, that’s the day before the wedding, we’re going all out — all four hours [of the show] are going to be [at Windsor], coming to you live from an exclusive location. We are going to be peeping in to Windsor Castle.”

“It all leads up to Saturday, May 19 — that’s the big day, folks — [with] a special edition of Today at the Royal Wedding. We’re going to be with you live from Winsdor Castle. We’re going to start early, get up, 4:30 a.m. EST. We will capture every aspect of the day,” Savannah added. We can’t wait to watch next month!
