Holiday season is usually a season for romance, isn’t it? With surprise proposals, special gifts, and all of the Christmas cheer, it’s hard to keep from getting swept up in the lovey-dovey atmosphere that seems to manifest this time of year.

This year, Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox is helping to ignite that flame with Titanic‘s 20th anniversary. Starting on Wednesday, Dec. 1, Dolby Vision-equipped AMC theaters will be hosting a week-long showing of the 1997 blockbuster Titanic. According to a press release, this will be the first-ever release of Titanic in Dolby Vision in 2D and 3D. In addition to seeing the award-winning film in 3D, moviegoers will be able to enjoy AMC’s signature recliners that pulsate along with the action on the screen.

“We mastered a few minutes of Titanic in Dolby Vision and I was stunned. It was like seeing it for the first time. Now that the entire film has been mastered, I’m excited to share it with audiences across the US,” filmmaker and director James Cameron said. “This is beyond 3D, beyond 70mm, it’s beyond anything you’ve seen before. The image leaps off the screen as bright and vibrant as life itself. This is the way all movies should be seen and without a doubt, Titanic has never looked better.” Tickets started selling on Nov. 15, at 5:30 a.m. and are available online and in-store through Dolby cinema at participating AMC locations.

Come on, who couldn’t use another celebratory viewing of Titanic just in time for the holidays? An afternoon or evening spent with our favorite star-crossed lovers, Rose and Jack, might be just what you need to either distract you from the pressures and stresses this season brings, or help you relax with your hubby after all the shopping, planning, and card-sending is done. Personally, we’re always in the mood to revisit some of our favorite scenes from the beloved film — even that final heartbreaking one that still has devoted fans arguing to this day. And if you have younger friends or loved ones who’ve never even seen Titanic? All the more reason to hightail it to the theater to not miss out on this special viewing.
