Nearly three years after he suffered a stroke, Tim Curry is back in the spotlight.
On Sunday, June 7, the 69-year-old actor was honored with the Actors Fund Lifetime Achievement Award at a Tony Awards Viewing Party where he told reporters he was "doing well" and "looking forward" to receiving the coveted accolade.

"It means that it just sort of solidifies the kind of work the American acting community has given me for years now. It’s very gracious of them, I think. I was thrilled when they told me and I am thrilled now," Tim said of being honored at the event.
Since he suffered a stroke at his LA home in June 2012, the Broadway star said he has relied on his sense of humor to get him through some tough times.

"[Keeping my sense of humor has been] vital. Absolutely vital. It’s not tough to maintain. It is just part of my DNA," Tim — whose speech and movement have been most affected by the stroke — told Los Angeles Magazine of his recovery.
