It's a Boy!Thompson Square’s Shawna and Keifer Thompson Welcome First Baby

Shawna Thompson and Keifer Thompson are new parents!

The Thompson Square duo welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Rigney Cooper Thompson, at 3:46 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24. The name Rigney is Shawna’s grandmother’s maiden name.

“God blessed us this morning with a little 7 pound 13 oz miracle,” the couple said in a statement to E! News. “It’s hard to explain this kind of love. We’re so overjoyed. He’s already got us wrapped around his little finger.”

“We’re so excited to be able share this monumental day with all of you,” Shawna, 37, and Keifer, 39, later captioned a photo of themselves with their little boy on Instagram. “We’ve had many wonderful things happen to us but this absolutely tops them all. We want to thank you all for being there for us and our music and for all of your support during our pregnancy.”

The country couple — who tied the knot in May 1999 — announced they were expecting their first baby together in September 2015 with an adorable photo posted on Instagram. Congrats to Shawna and Keifer on their new addition!
