Actress Rosie Perez and MSNBC analyst Nicolle Wallace are the newest co-hosts to join The View, replacing Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy for the talk show's 18th season.
"I am beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised that I've been asked to join The View," Rosie said in a statement.
"Knowing that I'll be in the company of Whoopi [Goldberg], Rosie [O'Donnell] and Nicolle, three very smart and engaging women that I have an immense amount of respect for, makes it even more unbelievable. The opportunity to connect with our nation's audience on a daily basis...icing on the cake! Very happy."
The Pineapple Express star also took to Twitter to express her excitement:
Thank you for all the wonderful comments! I am truly touched. Excited to be a part of an amazing show and a great team of women. @theviewtv— Rosie Perez (@rosieperezbklyn) September 4, 2014

A different set is being built for the new cast — complete with on-camera social media station — and the long-running program's logo and signature color will also experience a makeover. The View is set to return on Sept. 15.
“These are powerful and accomplished women from different walks of life who have had amazing personal and professional experiences. Each brings incredible perspective and information to the table,” executive producer Bill Wolff said in a statement. “This mix of smart, vibrant and energetic women is unlike anything else on daytime television.”
