Nearly two months after Susan Sarandon and Jonathan Bricklin ended their five-year relationship, footage of the pair's teary arguments has emerged in the new AOL web series 'Connected.'
"Whenever we're in public I still can't help feeling like I'm her sidekick. The only time I feel truly equal to Susan is when we're alone. And that is becoming a problem," Jonathan, 37, confessed on the show, which centers on the lives of six NYC couples.

The 'Thelma & Louise' star, 68, and her now ex-boyfriend also admitted their 31-year age difference often put a strain on their relationship.

"Honestly, the boytoy [stuff] I thought was flattering initially and I tried to live up to that, but now five or six years have passed and that's my f---ing life and that's not okay," the reality star lamented on the series' ninth episode, which aired online on April 27.
"As a man, I would maybe like to make a mark for myself in this world. Maybe I don't want to be just the boytoy?" he added.

Before the reality series premiered last month, the couple — who met on a road trip in Chile in 2010 — broke up in early March.
"So f---ing annoying. Feeling like I love her more than anyone I've f---ing ever known, and can't somehow communicate very effectively. It just feels like individual issues, baggage, are kind of clashing with each other," Jonathan said on the latest episode, alluding to their eventual split.
