Susan previously portrayed vixen Erica Kane for more than 40 years on the hit ABC soap opera from 1970 until 2011. "I do love her, and I'm really glad that I got the opportunity to play her," the star told Closer of her character.
"There's so much to miss about the character," Susan continued. "The fans remind me that Erica Kane is very much part of their lives, so I haven't let her go completely."

Susan isn't the only All My Children star who would love for the series to return to TV. When the actress and her former co-stars reunited on the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family — which Susan was guest co-hosting — earlier this year, they all spoke of their desire to work together again.

"Everyone said they would be willing and able to pick up where the show left off," H&F star Debbie Matenopoulos — who co-hosts with Mark Steines — told Closer of a possible reboot.

"If Netflix were to offer them a second chance, they would do it in a heartbeat," Mark said. "The way they looked at each other, they long for that connection again."
"Doing that reunion was a treasure," Susan said. "It was thrilling to all be together and to be a part of that show."
