Welcome to the family!
Family Feud host Steve Harvey has a huge reason to celebrate — his youngest daughter Lori Harvey is going to be a married woman! He announced his stepdaughter's engagement to former Manchester United player Memphis Depay and he couldn't help but gush over his new son-in-law to be.
"Marjorie [Harvey] and I are proud to announce the engagement of our youngest daughter Lori to Memphis Depay, this young man is a good one! Congrats!" the 60-year-old wrote on Twitter.
The proud papa shared a photo of Lori and Memphis at the moment that he proposed and Lori looked so happy and surprised as Memphis got down on one knee. But the reactions to Steve's announcement weren't all positive, and many fans questioned whether his youngest daughter was old enough to get married.
"I'm 20 and my fiancé is 23 for everyone asking....yes we are young, but when it's right why wait," Lori tweeted, responding to the haters.
Other fans questioned wondered if the reason Lori and Memphis were tying the knot at such a young age is because she is currently pregnant, and she shut down the speculation.
"No I'm not pregnant and won't be for a while," she wrote, adding the eye roll emoji.
It looks like Lori sure knows what she's looking for in a husband, and she's got really great marriage role models to look up to! Even though both Steve and Marjorie, 51, have been previously married, they both knew what they wanted when it came to their relationship.
The couple dated when they were younger and drifted apart, but they reconnected after their respective divorces and wed in 2007 — and they both were confident everything would work out even though their combined seven children weren't happy about becoming part of a blended family.
“I said, ‘Look, you don’t like it? Deal with it. I don’t need y’all’s permission,’" he told People.
