Well, that's awkward.
Though Miss Philippines took home the coveted crown at this year's Miss Universe on Sunday, Dec. 20, the winning announcement was rather dramatic to say the least.
At the special event, host Steve Harvey accidentally said that the winner of the intense competition was Miss Colombia — a mistake that left both finalists noticeably in shock!

After Miss Columbia received the crown and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, Steve, 58, interrupted the celebrations to announce he had made an error, and that she was actually the first-runner up instead of the winner.
The host followed up after the the dramatic show with a sincere apology tweet to all his followers. "I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible," he said.

"I did not take the crown from her," Miss Philippines later told reporters after the pageant concluded, saying she wished the contestant from Colombia well and hoped the Latin American community understands that "none of this was my fault," according to Fox News.
