While most of America would be thrilled to have a meet-and-greet with the President of the United States, one sixth-grader in Washington D.C. was less than impressed.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michele Obama visited the Inspired Teaching School in Northeast D.C. on Sept. 11 to mark the date as a national day of service, but Madison, a student at the school, was expecting an entirely different guest.
She admitted to the president that when she heard the school was hosting a special visitor, she hoped it would be Beyoncé. “Then I realized it was gonna be you,” Madison said.
“Malia and Sasha would feel the same way,” the 53-year-old hilariously responded, referencing his two teen daughters. We understand your disappointment, Madison!
