With new addition baby Eric arriving last February, Simon Cowell was looking to upgrade from the $26,000-a-month apartment he currently shares with girlfriend Lauren Silverman. And upgrade he did!
According to various reports, the music mogul has paid around $10.8 million for a luxurious penthouse in Manhattan that will give him and Lauren plenty of space to raise their newborn.
Located on East 78th Street in NYC's affluent Upper East Side, the complex is currently under construction, so the move has been put on hold for the time being.
Computer-generated depictions by Williams New York show floor-to-ceiling windows featuring impressive views of the city, as well as varnished wood floors and top-of-the-line appliances.
A library terrace will also provide the perfect place for the 54-year-old to entertain guests when the weather is nice.
"They wanted to be on the Upper East Side, and they love modern and new," a source told Page Six of the couple's apartment requirements. The new parents have been looking at potential homes since Eric's arrival on Feb. 14.
Simon is clearly enjoying his new role as father, posting a recent photo of his four-month-old during bath time:
