For example, Suzanne Somers didn't leave Three’s Company on her own — she was written off!

The actress, who played Chrissy, was fired because she demanded a salary increase — she wanted to get the same pay as her male co-star, John Ritter, who made $150,000 per episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, the producers refused because, well, it was still the '70s. The producers slowly started writing her out of scenes until eventually they terminated her contract entirely.
