Huge news for Sherri Shepherd!
The 48-year-old TV star will return to The View as a part-time co-host starting this fall, according to The Daily Mail.
She will serve as one of the show's rotating fifth co-hosts alongside regular stars Whoopi Goldberg, 59, Nicolle Wallace, 43, Raven-Symoné, 29, and Michelle Collins, 34. Michelle was named The View's newest panelist just last week after Rosie Perez, 50, announced her departure from the show after one season.

"Though the show was taped in advance and Whoopi Goldberg was out dealing with the death of her brother, everyone was blown away by how Sherri brought the energy of a live broadcast to the taped show. She had been so missed by the producers that many of them cried when she walked in the building," a source told The Daily Mail of the network's decision to bring her back on the show.

When previously asked by Closer Weekly in an exclusive interview if she would ever consider rejoining the show, Sherri replied, "I miss the topics. I miss the camaraderie. Would I want to be [there] every day doing it? No... but to drop in every once in a while would be a lot of fun."
