Shayne Lamas Reveals — My Stepmom is Carrying My Baby!

ONLY in the new issue of 'Closer Weekly,' Shayne Lamas — who recently announced she was having a baby via surrogate — exclusively reveals the very special woman carrying her baby is her stepmom, Shawna Craig!

“Shawna’s not just my stepmother, she’s like a soul sister,” Shayne, 29, gushes in the new issue of 'Closer.' Shawna, 28, is the fifth wife of her father, Lorenzo Lamas. “She’s an angel that blessed my whole family, including my father.”

Last year, Shayne lost a baby boy she was carrying after a rare uterine rupture and found out she and husband Nik Richie could never have kids again. But Shawna, who insists she never desired a baby of her own, works for a fertility agency that connects couples who can’t get pregnant with egg donors and surrogates and realized she could help Shayne and Nik.

“I’m ecstatic to be pregnant. It’s the best thing in the world,” Shawna, due on July 10, tells 'Closer.'

'Closer Weekly' can also reveal that the couple is expecting a baby boy! Shayna says while the situation isn’t ordinary, this baby has helped bring the entire family closer.

“It is weird. Somebody else carrying your baby is weird. But I lost my son, and now Shawna is carrying my son. I have just been given the biggest blessing in the whole world and I will always be grateful," Shayne told 'Closer.'
