Oh No!Savannah Guthrie Refers to Husband Mike Feldman as Co-Host Matt Lauer on ‘Today’

Well, this is awkward!

Savannah Guthrie probably made her husband, Mike Feldman, very angry when she confused him with her co-host, Matt Lauer, during Today on Monday, Feb. 27!

While she, Al Roker, and Sheinelle Jones were talking about how newborn children affect men's sleep compared to women's sleep, she accidentally referred to her hubby of nearly three years as Matt while she was telling them a story about their newborn son, Charley. The couple welcomed their little boy together in December 2016 and are also parents to a two-year-old daughter, Vale.

Savannah — who just returned to the show after a nearly three-month-long hiatus — said, "It's so funny because of course dad's are great and we know this a very active dad, but on my maternity leave when I was getting up and doing feeding every couple hour Matt would be…excuse me, hello!"

"Breaking news!" Sheinelle joked immediately after. "Anything you want to talk about?"

"Where is my Freud textbook?" Savannah reacted, embarrassed and in shock. "That's not the first time that's happened."

The camera soon turned to Matt, where he quipped, "That's our secret!"

"This is what happens when you leave," she told viewers. "It all falls apart."

After the segment, Savannah poked fun at herself when turning it over to Matt. "Let's head back down to Washington for more with Mike," she joked as he reappeared from the US Capitol.

"Matt at work, Mike at home," he replied. "I'm not paying for college for Vale and Charlie, alright?"
