Sarah Silverman's mother, Beth Ann O'Hara, has sadly died. She was 73-years-old.
The comedienne, 44, confirmed the news with a touching tribute to her mom on Instagram on Monday, Aug. 24.
"Wednesday morning my mom died. She was a know-it-all in overalls & two different colored socks. And defiantly, no bra," Sarah wrote alongside a throwback photo of Beth.

"The woman who, when I was little, gave me detailed directions to a restaurant ladies room then secretly watched as I found my way to it on my own. The woman who went back to college at 42, and skinny dipped in ponds, and told me never to protect myself from a broken heart because it was so very worth the pain to get to experience love," she continued.

According to New Hampshire Public Radio, Beth — who produced and directed more than 50 plays throughout her career — was known as simply "mom" to many aspiring actors.
Beth was reportedly surrounded by her children and grandchildren at the time of her death from an unknown cause.
