One week after Sandra Lee underwent a double mastectomy while bravely battling breast cancer, the TV chef has returned home from the hospital.
"Today is an exciting day! Sandra is going home to Lilly Pond with her sister Kimber and Governor [Andrew] Cuomo. She is most excited to sleep in her own bed," representatives for the 48-year-old star posted on her Facebook page yesterday.

In a subsequent social media post, Sandra was pictured resting comfortably at home with Andrew, 57 — her boyfriend of nearly 10 years — and one of her beloved pet birds.

The Food Network star underwent a double mastectomy on Tuesday, May 19 after announcing she had been diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ — a common form of noninvasive breast cancer contained within the breasts' milk ducts — during an interview with Good Morning America just days before.

Following the surgery, Sandra's team provided fans with frequent updates on her condition on her Facebook page. "Sandra has had a long day. Her surgeon visited to check on her and she tried to walk some more," a message published on Saturday, May 23 began.
"She's still weak and nauseous but part of that is from too much weight loss. The doctors told her she must eat to sustain strength. She hopes for a better day tomorrow, and thanks all of you, again, for your messages," the statement read.
