Rene Russo opened up for the first time about her struggle with bipolar disorder, which she's been fighting since childhood.
During an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show with "Nightcrawler" co-star Jake Gyllenhaal (set to air on Oct. 30), the host asked both actors to describe something they had to "push through" in their lives.
Rene surprised both Latifah and Jake when she answered "bipolar medication," adding, "My mom said my whole childhood…was stop and go."

The "Lethal Weapon" star admitted she'd never spoken out publicly about her condition before, but hopes her story will help someone else who's suffering.
"It's okay, you know? It's okay. You will make it through," Rene said. "It's not easy, but you will make it through."
